With the 2012 IEMA Conference, we would like to continue the tradition of honoring those individuals that have provided a valuable service to the emergency management field and have passed away within the past three years. Any individual, paid or volunteer, who has a minimum of 5 years of service and has made a significant impact on the emergency management field is eligible for recognition. All local and state agencies have the opportunity to nominate an individual from their jurisdiction or agency. A specific area within the main conference room will be set aside to honor the accomplishments of these individuals by displaying their picture and personal information.
We are also paying respect to those that passed away during the tornadoes in southern Illinois in both February and March.
