Media Relations - Advanced
This two day course is designed to provide advanced training on media relations. Nationally known instructor Rick Rosenthal will present strategies and tactics for managing the media in a wide variety of situations that draw intense public interest and media attention. Topics include: ugly situations (your organization is facing a public relations mess), media assault, media battery, media brutality,TV news helicopters, critical incidents and much more. This training is highly informative and highly entertaining as well. You will learn practical media relations skills and techniques, and you'll have fun doing it. Participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned during activities.

Prerequisite: Media Relations-Basic
Target Audience/Discipline: This course is designed for federal, state and local public information officers, elected offficials, emergency services personal who may be giving interviews or statements to the media.
