New Coordinators' Workshop
This one day course is designed to provide new local emergency management agency coordinators a overview of their responsibilities in relationship to their local government and the state. The course also covers the Illinois Emergency Management Act as well as the current requirements outlined in the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Administrative Rules, and how this effects their jurisdiction. Participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned during group activities.

Course Timeline: Review the training calendar to identify the timeline for the specific class you will be attending. Unless otherwise stated, registration is always 30 minutes prior to the class start time.
Prerequisite: For local emergency management agency personnel, if available, please bring a copy of your Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), ordinance creating your positon and job description.
Target Audience/Discipline: This course is designed for newly appointed local emergency management coordinators and their staff. Personnel from fire service, law enforcement and emergency medical services will also benefit from this course.
Scheduled Classes: There are no scheduled dates for this course.
Please note: Applications for courses will be accepted up to 1 day prior to the course date. However, the cutoff date for lodging is 7 days prior to class.
