Hazmat Awareness Instructor Update

This course is for current IEMA Hazmat Awareness Instructors who would like to continue their authorization to instruct. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with the Illinois Fire Service Institute will be providing the update. In order to maintain your instructor status, IEMA is requiring that you attend one of the 4-hour updates. If you are required to travel more than 100 miles to attend the update, IEMA will provide you one (1) overnight accommodation.

Please note: Applications for courses will be accepted up to 1 day prior to the course date. However, the cutoff date for lodging is 7 days prior to class.

If you want to learn more about the Training Program or are interested in attending a specific course, please contact your IEMA Regional Coordinator or Lori Lemasters-McTaggart. Registration should be made in advance to attend any IEMA sponsored class. Walk-in registrations are only accepted if room space and course materials are available.
