Radiation Safety Committee

As IEMA is a user of radioactive materials, its program activities must comply with the same regulations as other radioactive materials users in Illinois. Therefore the Agency is actually a licensee. The Radiation Safety Committee authorizes employees to use radioactive materials under an IEMA broad scope license.

Charter

The operations of the Committee are governed by a Charter approved by the Director.

Minutes

Official minutes are kept of each meeting. Meetings are held quarterly, or as often as needed for the business to be conducted. Minutes of the past meeting can be found here.
