Radiation Protection Advisory Council (RPAC)
The purpose of the Radiation Protection Advisory Council is to assist the Illinois Emergency Management Agency in formulating, implementing, and reviewing policies and programs that ensure safe and constructive uses of ionizing radiation. The Council also makes recommendations and provides the Agency with technical advice and assistance as required.Meetings are held as needed. Radiologic Technologist Accreditation Advisory Board (RTAAB)
The purpose of the Radiologic Technologist Accreditation Advisory Board is to assist the Illinois Emergency Management Agency in ensuring that technologists who apply radiation to patients are qualified to perform medical radiation procedures safely and effectively. The Board advises the Agency on policies and programs that establish minimum requirements for training and continuing education of medical radiation technologists.Meetings are held as needed.
